Sightseeing tours for accompanying persons

Special tours have been arranged exclusively for the Accompanying persons and Delegates. Booking in advance is recommended, on-site availability cannot be guaranteed.

A minimum number of participants is 15. The deadline for application is May 5, 2016. Conference Secretariat reserves the right to cancel the tour for which a minimum number of participants have not registered. In this case another tour will be offered or a refund will be paid after the Conference.

Join us on a tour of the castle's Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Roman interiors, in chat has been the seat of the Czech Kings and Holy Roman Emperors and since 1918, the residence of the President of Republic. During the tour on our bus from the city centre to the Castle, our guide will tell you more about the major sightseeing attractions along the way. In the Castle, you will enjoy a visit to the Cathedral of St. Vitus, the old Royal Palace with the Vladislav Hall, the Roman Basilica of St. George and the Golden Lane where, according to a tradition, alchemists from the Middle Ages tried to create gold and the Philosopher's Stone for the Emperor Rudolph II, and formerly home to Franz Kafka. From the Prague Castle you can admire a beautiful view of Prague. We will then take a walk through the St. Wenceslas' vineyards down to the subway station of the "A" line Malostranska, nearby the Charles Bridge, where our tour ends.

Kutná Hora, a medieval silver mining centre, was once the second richest city in the Kingdom of Bohemia. The former wealth of the town is today reflected in the variety of architectural monuments and in the preserved structure of the town centre. The tour of Kutná Hora will not only take you to St Barbara’s Cathedral but also to many beautiful gothic, renaissance and baroque townhouses and to visit a Unixe stone fountain from the 15th century. You will also visit one of the most interesting burial grounds in the world: the Sedlec Ossuary. This chapel is decorated with more than 40 000 human bones, arranged into a chandelier, the Schwarzenberg Coat-of-Arms, and so on. Kutná Hora has been on the UNESCO list of cultural heritage sites since 1995.
 
 

CANCELLATION CONDITIONS

The Conference Secretariat must be notified in writing about any cancellation. The appropriate refunds will be made after the Conference.

The following cancellation conditions will be applied:
Cancellations received by May 5 , 2016 - full refund less 20% administrative charge
Cancellations received from May 6, 2016 – no refund
