INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPEAKERS (Oral Presentations)

Basic Information

  1. Maximum presentation time is 15 minutes.
  2. A 5-minute discussion follows immediately after your presentation.
  3. Only English and Czech/Slovak languages are accepted.
  4. The discussion will be moderated by the session chair.
  5. A countdown timer (15 minutes) will be visible to the speaker to monitor the time.
  6. The presentation times will be sent to you in early May as part of the “final conference program.”
  7. No specific template is required for creating presentations.
  8. Please adjust your presentation so that you do not exceed the set limit!

How to Prepare Your Presentation

  • Your presentation must be created as a Microsoft PowerPoint file (.pptx) or, if necessary, (.pdf).
  • Apple MacOS: Please export presentations created in Apple Keynote to PowerPoint (.pptx format).
  • Please use the screen presentation setting – 16:9 aspect ratio.
  • Maximum file size is 700 MB.
  • Use only standard Windows fonts; avoid using non-standard Windows fonts or language-specific fonts.
  • For clear identification, name your presentation file with your surname and the first word of your presentation title (“AuthorTitle.pptx”).
  • If your presentation contains embedded video, please arrive at the “SPEAKERS READY ROOM” well in advance so we can check that the video is embedded correctly. For safety, save the video file separately on a USB flash drive and have it with you.
  • The only acceptable video format is .mp4.

You may use this title slide in your PowerPoint presentation.

General Information

  • Please arrive at the SPEAKERS READY ROOM well in advance to check that your presentation is uploaded.
  • During your talk, after the presentation is launched, you will be able to control your presentation using a remote control, which the technician on-site will show you during the break.
  • Lectures with presentations will be recorded.
  • We politely ask all speakers to keep their scheduled time.
